Engagement Management Lead

<p>Scale's Generative AI business is continuing to see tremendous growth and expansion. As an Engagement Manager Lead, you will operate at the center of Scale's most strategic frontier AI lab customer relationships, serving as a trusted, operationally-grounded thought partner to the world's leading AI research teams. </p> <p>EM Leads build deep relationships with Gen AI researchers and other customer leads, navigate difficult conversations with confidence grounded in operational knowledge, and earn new work through driving exceptional customer success. EM Leads are naturally empathetic and excel at building long-term relationships through diligent problem solving and thoughtful, strategic discussions.</p> <h2><strong>You will:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Own a portfolio of complex, strategic accounts with full accountability for customer success and commercial development</li> <li>Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with frontier AI lab researchers and operations leads, serving as a thought partner throughout the project lifecycle from ideation to execution</li> <li>Navigate difficult customer conversations around quality, throughput and other delivery expectations with confidence and clarity grounded in deep operational knowledge</li> <li>Identify and develop expansion opportunities through close customer engagement</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Ideally you'd have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>A technical background (education or professional experience with CS, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or another STEM field)</li> <li>5+ years of in consulting or in a technical product or program management role</li> <li>A proven track record in B2B client-facing roles, including building and expanding relationships and navigating complex customer dynamics</li> <li>Ability to understand the ML training lifecycle and discuss use cases meaningfully with technical customers</li> <li>Graduate degree (PhD, MS) or research experience in a STEM field</li> <li>Experience at a front
