And we're only getting started.</p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Engineering Manager </strong>on the Artifact Distribution team, you will lead an engineering team responsible for <strong>Databricks’ core artifact storage and distribution infrastructure</strong>.</p> <p>Every machine launched in the cloud by Databricks— <strong>millions of cloud machines daily</strong>—relies on this service to fetch container images, machine learning model weights, dependencies, and runtime configurations to initialize. This infrastructure is mission-critical to daily operations and directly impacts company revenue.</p> <p><strong>The impact you will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Lead Mission-Critical Infrastructure:</strong> Direct a high-impact engineering team responsible for artifact storage, cross-cloud &amp; cross-region replication, and distribution service scaling across millions of cloud instances daily.</li> <li><strong>Set Technical Strategy &amp; Architectural Direction:</strong> Drive the multi-year roadmap for low-level artifact storage, peer-to-peer distribution, and cloud replication.</li> <li><strong>Maintain Hands-on Technical Oversight:</strong> Leverage Staff-level system design and architecture knowledge to conduct architecture reviews, oversee system reliability, and maintain engineering excellence.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Ali
